How to Play Uno Extreme

To start the play, you need to put batteries in the card launcher, turn it on, and choose how fast you want the game to be. You can pick between 4 seconds, 6 seconds, or unlimited time for each turn. Select one player to shuffle the cards, give seven cards to each player and place the rest of the cards face down in the launcher called the draw pile.

-->

To begin the discard pile the player who is the dealer picks the top card from the placed cards and puts the card in the launcher and the next player starts the game and plays a card that matches the card on the discard pile by color, number, or symbol. You can also play a special card that has an action and if any player is unable to play a card then he must press the player button on the launcher. This tells the launcher that you are done with your turn.

If you don’t have a matching card or a special card, you have to press the launcher button a big button on the top of the launcher. The launcher will either shoot out some cards or nothing at all. It is random and you can’t control it and if the launcher shoots out some cards, you have to take them and add them to your hand. You can also play one of those cards if it matches the discard pile. If the launcher doesn’t shoot out any cards, you are lucky and your turn is over.

The game goes on like this, with each player trying to play a matching card or a special card, or pressing the launcher button. The launcher will light up the player button of the next player to play. Sometimes, it might be the same player again. You have to be fast and pay attention to the launcher.

When a player has only one card left in his hands, he must yell UNO loudly and tell everyone he is close to winning and if he forget to say “Uno” and another player notices, press the launcher button twice and take all the cards that come out. The game ends when the first player who discards/plays his all cards and leaves no card in his hands wins the round and the game ends when it reaches 500 points combined by all rounds. That player with 500 points first wins the round and gets points for the cards left in the other players’ hands.

The points are based on the values of the cards:

  • Number cards: Face value
  • Draw Two, Skip, Reverse, Hit 2, Discard All: 20 points each
  • Wild, Wild Draw Four, Extreme Hit: 50 points each
