The goal of the game is to get rid of all the cards in your hand by matching the color, number, or symbol of the card on top of the discard pile.

How to Play Harry Potter UNO

To start the game, one player shuffles the deck and deals seven cards to each player. The dealer player places the remaining cards face down to form the draw pile and the top card of the draw pile is turned over to start the discard pile the first player plays the card by matching it with his cards, If the first card is an action card, follow its instructions.

The player to the left of the dealer goes first and tries to match the card on the discard pile by color, number, or symbol. If they have a matching card, they play it and press their player button on the electronic unit. The unit will then randomly pick the next player to play.

If they don’t have a matching card, they draw a card from the draw pile and press their player button. If the card they draw can be played, they can play it or keep it in their hand. The game continues in this way until one player has no cards left in their hand. That player scores points for the cards left in the other players’ hands, according to the following values:

• Number cards: Face value
• Draw Two, Skip, Reverse, Hogwarts House, Sorting Hat, Character, Spell: 20 points each
• Wild, Wild Draw Four: 50 points each

When you have only one card left in your hand, you must say “UNO” to let the other players know. when any player from the match says “UNO” and any other player catches him before the next player starts their turn, they draw two cards as a penalty. The game ends when one player or team reaches 500 points. That player or team is the winner of the game.

Action Cards

• Draw Two: This draw +2 card makes the next player draw two cards and his turn skips and next play goes, players can only play it on a matching color or another Draw Two.
• Wild: The wild card can be played on any card and lets you choose the color for the next turn.
• Wild Draw Four: This card can be played on any card and lets you choose the color for the next turn. The next player also has to draw four cards and skip their turn. You can only play this card if you have no other matching cards in your hand.
• Hogwarts House: This card has the symbol of one of the four Hogwarts houses. It can be played on any card and makes the next player draw cards until they get a card with the same house. This card helps you get rid of multiple cards in your hand.
• Sorting Hat: This card has the symbol of the Sorting Hat that can be played on any card and lets you trade hands with any player of your choice. This card mixes up the game by redistributing the cards among all the players.
• Character: This card has the image of one of the main characters from Harry Potter, such as Harry, Ron, or Hermione. It acts like a Wild card and lets you choose the color for the next turn. The difference is that it has a thematic design to fit the game.
• Spell: This card has the name of a spell from Harry Potter, such as Expelliarmus, Polyjuice Potion, or Accio. It can be played on any card and has a magical effect when played. For example, Expelliarmus makes another player of your choice discard a random card, Polyjuice Potion lets you swap one card from your hand with one card from the draw pile, and Accio lets you take a card from another player’s hand.
