Rules Of Drunk UNO Card Game

To play Drunk UNO, you will need the following items:

  • A deck of 108 UNO cards
  • Drinks of your choice (alcoholic or non-alcoholic)
  • Shot glasses or cups
  • Friends who are willing to participate

The game is played like regular UNO, with some additional drinking rules and penalties. The objective is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards, while making your opponents drink as much as possible. The standard UNO rules still apply, but with drunk uno rules with shots:

Drunk UNO Rules With Shots

  • Before the game starts, everyone takes a shot or a sip of their drink as a toast.
  • Whenever you draw a card from the draw pile, you have to take a sip of your drink.
  • Whenever you play a skip, reverse, or draw two card, the affected player has to take a sip of their drink.
  • Whenever you play a wild or wild draw four card, everyone has to take a sip of their drink, including you.
  • Whenever you forget to say “UNO” when you have one card left, you have to draw four cards and take four sips of your drink as a penalty.
  • At the end of each round, the winner gets to choose one player to finish their drink, and everyone else has to take a sip of their drink for each card they have left in their hand.

How to Play Drunk UNO

To play Drunk UNO, follow these steps:

  • The dealer shuffles the deck and deals seven cards to each player. Place the remaining cards face down as the draw pile, and turn over the top card to start the discard pile.
  • The player next to the left of the dealer goes first, and the game proceeds clockwise. On your turn, you must play a card that matches the top card of the discard pile by color, number, or symbol. If you have no matching cards, you must draw a card from the draw pile and take a sip of your drink. If the card you draw is playable, you can play it. Otherwise, your turn is over.
  • Follow the drinking rules and penalties for each card you play or receive, as explained above.
  • When you have only one card left in your hand, you must shout “UNO” before you touch the discard pile. If you fail to do so and another player catches you, you have to draw four cards and take four sips of your drink as a penalty.

Winning

The first player to get rid of all their cards and take drinks wins the round. They get to choose one player to finish their drink, and everyone else has to take a sip of their drink for each card they have left in their hand. Shuffle the deck and start a new round. The game ends when you decide to stop or run out of drinks.

Additional Rules for Drunk UNO

These are some variations or custom rules that you can add to the standard Drunk UNO game to make it more fun and challenging. Here is what each rule means:

  • Starting the game: Each player takes a drink. This means that before the game begins, everyone has to drink a sip of their drink as a way of starting the game.
  • Drawing a card: Draw a 2 to take a drink, or draw a 4 to take two drinks. This means that whenever you have to draw a card from the draw pile, you have to drink according to the number on the card. For example, if you draw a 2 card, you have to drink once. If you draw a 4 card, you have to drink twice.
  • Being reversed: Take two drinks if you get reversed. This means that whenever someone plays a reverse card and changes the order of play, the person who gets reversed has to drink twice. For example, if the game was going clockwise and someone played a reverse card, the person who was next in line had to drink twice.
  • Being skipped: Take a drink if you get skipped. This means that whenever someone plays a skip card and skips your turn, you have to drink once.
  • Claiming False UNO: Take three drinks if you claim False UNO. This means that if you accuse someone of forgetting to say “UNO” when they have one card left, but they actually did say it, you have to drink three times as a penalty.
  • Winner: Choose an opponent to take three drinks. This means that at the end of each round, the winner gets to pick one player to drink three times as a reward.
  • Wild cards: Take a social drink when a wild card is played. This means that whenever someone plays a wild card or a wild draw four card, everyone has to drink once, including the person who played the card.
  • Skip cards: The skipped player must take a shot. This is a more extreme version of the being skipped rule. It means that whenever someone plays a skip card and skips your turn, you have to drink a shot of your drink, which is usually a larger amount than a sip.
  • Reverse cards: The person who gets reversed takes two shots. This is a more extreme version of the being reversed rule. It means that whenever someone plays a reverse card and changes the order of play, the person who gets reversed has to drink two shots of their drink, which are usually larger amounts than sips.
  • End of round: Drink for every card you have left at the end of a round. This means that at the end of each round, everyone has to drink according to the number of cards they have left in their hand. For example, if you have five cards left, you have to drink five times.

Drunk UNO is a fun and exciting game that can spice up your UNO sessions. However, you should always drink responsibly and know your limits.
