UNO Blank Card Rules And Ideas

UNO Blank Cards are for creating custom house rules, like forcing players to draw cards, skip a turn, reveal their hands, or even swap entire hands with another player. Players can also use a blank card to make a copy of a lost card or to create a powerful new rule that significantly changes the game. To use a blank card, write your rule on it and play it like any other wild card, choosing the color that continues play.

  • Replace a lost or damaged card: If you are missing a card from your UNO deck, you can use a blank card to replace it. You can write the color, number, or symbol of the missing card on the blank card with a pencil. For example, if you need a red seven, you can write “Red 7” on the blank card. Then you can use it as a normal red seven card in the game.
  • Create a new rule: You can also use it to make your own blank uno card rule for the game. You and the other players have to agree on the rule before the game starts. You can write the rule on the blank card with a pencil.
  • For example, you can write “Swap hands with any player” on the blank card. Then you can use it as an action card in the game. When you play it, you can choose any player and swap your cards with them.
  • Add more fun: You can also use a blank card to make the game more fun and exciting. You and the other players have to agree on what the blank card does before the game starts. You can write something funny or challenging on the blank card with a pencil.
  • Blank uno card ideas: you can write “Sing a song” on the blank card. Then you can use it as a penalty card in the game. When someone plays it, they have to sing a song or draw two cards.

These are some ideas for using the Blank UNO Card. You can also come up with your own ideas and rules. Just remember to write them clearly on the blank uno card and make sure everyone agrees before the game starts.

UNO Blank Card Rules And Ideas

UNO blank Card Rules

UNO Blank Cards have two main uses: to replace lost or damaged cards by marking them with the original card’s number and color, or to create custom “house rules” by writing a new effect on the card (such as “Draw 6,” “Swap Hands,” or “Reveal”) agreed upon by all players before the game begins.

For Replacing Lost or Damaged Cards

  1. 1. Identify the missing card:Note the specific color and number of the UNO card that was lost or damaged.
  2. 2. Mark the Blank Card:Use a #2 pencil to write the number and color of the missing card onto the blank card.
  3. 3. Add to the Deck:Place the newly marked blank card into the deck to replace the lost or damaged one.

For Creating Custom “House Rules”

Use the card: When the Blank Card is played, the custom effect occurs as written, and play continues with the chosen color.

Decide on an effect: As a group, agree on a custom rule or effect for the Blank Card. Examples include:

Wild Draw 50: Play this card and the next player must draw 50 cards.

Swap Hands: Play this card and choose a player to swap hands with.

Reverse: Play this card and the order of play reverses.

Team Draw: Play this card and all other players must draw two cards.

How to Play UNO Blank Card

  • You can use them as regular numbered cards of any color. For example, if you are missing a red 5, you can write “red 5” on a blank card and use it as such.
  • You can use them as action cards of any color. For example, you can write “blue reverse” on a blank card and use it to change the direction of play when it matches the color of the discard pile.
  • You can use them as wild cards that let you choose the color of play. For example, you can write “wild” on a blank card and use it to change the color to anyone you want.
  • You can use them as wild draw four cards that let you choose the color of play and make the next player draw four cards. For example, you can write “wild draw four” on a blank card and use it to punish the next player and change the color to your advantage.
  • You can use them as swap hands cards that let you exchange your hand with another player of your choice. For example, you can write “swap hands” on a blank card and use it to swap your hand with the player who has the least number of cards.
  • You can use them as shuffle hands cards that let you shuffle all the players’ hands together and deal them out again. For example, you can write “shuffle hands” on a blank card and use it to mix up the game and create some chaos.

These are just some ideas of how you can use blank UNO cards, but you can also come up with your own rules and have fun with them. Just remember to make sure everyone agrees on the rules before the game starts and write them clearly on the blank cards.
