How to Play the UNO Artiste Series
To play the UNO Artiste Series, you need to follow the same rules as the classic UNO game. Here are the basic rules:
- The objective of the game is to be the initial player to dispose of all your cards.
- Every player begins with seven cards. The remaining cards constitute a draw pile. A single card is flipped over from the draw pile to initiate a discard pile.
- During your turn, you are required to play a card that corresponds to the color, number, or symbol of the topmost card on the discard pile. For instance, if the top card is a red 5, you can play any card that is red or any card that is a 5.
- If you lack a card that matches, you are obliged to draw a card from the draw pile.
- If the drawn card can be played, you can play it. Otherwise, your turn is over.
- There are some special cards that have different effects:
- Wild cards can be played on any card and let you choose the color for the next player.
- Wild Draw Four cards can only be played if you have no other matching cards. They let you choose the color and make the next player draw four cards.
- Pass cards cause the subsequent player to forfeit their turn.
- Invert cards alter the course of the game.
- Draw Two cards make the next player draw two cards.
- When you are down to your final card, you must yell UNO! in a giant way. If you forget to do so and another player catches you, you must draw two cards as a penalty.
- The game is won by the player who first manages to discard all their cards.
