The Barbie UNO Rules and Cards

Uno Barbie is a themed version of Uno featuring the popular Barbie franchise. Barbie UNO features images of Barbie and her friends on each of the cards. Uno Barbie makes a great gift for Barbie fans and kids. The gameplay remains the same as classic Uno, but the Barbie theme gives it extra excitement, especially for young girls. When you play Fashion Trend Card, announce a color and each player must show a card of that color from their hand, without discarding it. If a player can’t show the matching color, they draw 2 cards. If everyone matches, play continues with the next player after you.

The Barbie UNO gameplay is inspired by the classic card game, in which participants must match colors and numbers to eliminate all of their cards. Additionally, a unique rule called "Played With Too Much" requires players to both discard and draw cards. In addition, players must remember to loudly declare "UNO!" when they have just one card remaining.

Barbie UNO Rules

Barbie UNO follows the standard UNO rules but incorporates elements from the Barbie movie, including new action cards and themed imagery. The core gameplay involves matching cards by color, number, or symbol and being the first to get rid of all your cards.

Basic Gameplay:

  • Goal: Be the first player to get rid of all your cards.
  • Matching: Match the top card of the discard pile by color, number, or symbol (including action cards).
  • Drawing: If you can’t match, draw a card from the draw pile.
  • Action Cards: Play action cards (like Skip, Reverse, Draw Two, Wild, Wild Draw Four, and the new “Played With Too Much” card) to change the game’s flow.
  • Yelling UNO: When down to one card, yell “UNO!” If caught before your next turn, you must draw two penalty cards.
  • Scoring: Points are awarded based on the remaining cards in opponents’ hands at the end of each round.

Special Barbie UNO Cards:

Played With Too Much Card (Wild):When played, you choose a color, and all other players must discard all cards of that color and draw the same number from the draw pile.

Fashion Swap Card (Wild):This card allows you to pick any two players (including yourself) and a color. These players must swap all cards of that color, and the chosen color resumes play. Key Differences from Classic UNO:

  • Themed Imagery: Cards feature characters and scenes from the Barbie movie.
  • New Action Card: The “Played With Too Much” card is unique to this version and can significantly impact gameplay.
