Red Flags is a party card game that involves matching people and finding the perfect date for becoming the best date of the night and the judge known as “The Single” decides the winner.
The game is for a group of three to twenty people. They use cards called Perk cards to choose the ultimate date, and they also use cards called Red Flags to make other players’ dates less likely. The player who sets up the best date and wins seven cards wins the game.
Red Flags Cards
The Red Flags game has 400 cards, including 175 perk cards and 225 red flag cards. The game has a difficulty rating of 1.0 out of 5 points, making it ideal for gamers aged 18 and up.
Red Flags Game Rules
The goal of the game is to be the first player to win seven cards and set up the best dates. The game lets players make the best date by using Perk cards, while Red Flags can wreck other players’ chances of getting together.
-->The single is the player who sets up the play and picks which date wins. The player who plays the Red Flag card gets to keep that card as a marker of points.
How to Play Red Flags Game
To start the game, each player picks up four white Perk cards and three red Red Flag cards from the draw pile. The player to the left of the judge starts by playing two Perk cards to set up the date for the player to their left.
Then, each player takes turns picking Red Flag cards to play on the date of the player to their left. This continues around the table until all dates have a Red Flag. The judge then picks the least offensive date to be in a relationship with.
Matchmaking
The matchmakers choose two perk cards from their hand to pick the single with the best date, then take turns reading them out loud. After reading all the Perk cards, matchmakers select a red flag card from their hand to play on the player’s left hand, one at a time.
Argument
In the play, the players are free to argue about whether their date is the best for The Single, and The Single must also predict if they will be dating this person long-term. The competitors may interfere with each other with major red flags.
Judge’s decision
The single (known as the judge), the player who sets up the game on the date, selects which date becomes the winner. The player who plays the Red Flag card gets to keep that card as a record of points.
Winning
The first player to win seven cards wins the game and acquires the best date. However, players can also play two rounds around the table to make the game shorter. The player with the most cards at the end of two rounds is the winner.
Disclaimer: The game of red flags is an adult party game for game nights and couples. However, kids aged less than 18 should avoid playing this game. Remember, the game involves using “Perk” cards to create the ultimate date while also using “Red Flags” to sabotage other players’ dates.
