In UNO, the Draw Two card features a +2 sign. When a player puts down a Draw Two card, the next person in the game must draw two cards and skip their turn. This card can only be played on a matching color or another Draw Two card. If a Draw Two card is used at the start of the game, the first player must draw two cards. If the next player also has a Draw Two card, they can either draw two cards or play another Draw Two card, making the following player draw four cards or play another Draw Two card, leading to the next player drawing six cards, and so forth.
UNO Draw 2 Card Rules
A wild Draw Two card forces the next player to draw two cards from the draw pile and skip their turn. After playing a Draw Two card, you can select the color of the card that continues to play. For example, if the top card of the discard pile is a red 6, you can play a wild Draw Two card and specify the color as “yellow.” Then, the next player has to draw two cards and miss their turn, and the following player has to play a yellow card or another wild card.
In a variation of the game, if a player lays down a Draw 2 card, the next player can either draw two cards or counter the initial draw card with their own Draw 2 card. If a Draw 2 card is “stacked,” the next player must draw four cards or play another Draw 2 card. If that player has a draw card, the next player will draw six cards.
According to the official UNO Twitter account, stacking is against the rules to stack “draw 2” cards. However, stacking forces a player to play a Draw Two or Draw Four if the player has it in their hand in a stacking situation.
